 We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Manager and Actuary - Valuation.

Principal Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor IFRS results of the company, timeliness of end-to-end production process and analytical review of FCF and CSM analysis of change
• Participate in governance committees such as Integrated Reporting Forum, Asset Liabilities Management Committee, Actuarial Review Committee, and Model Management Forum to represent the Chief Actuary.
• Drive ad-hoc projects and management initiatives on regulatory compliance, financial metrics optimization and process automation.
• Support and advise the Chief Actuary on reviewing the key economic and non-economic assumptions adopted in financial reporting and forecast & planning process.
• Take responsibility as control owner to provide oversight on first line controls and lead the assurance review from internal / external audit
• Lead the reporting of regulatory returns and ensure compliance.
• Manage the compliance of Model Risk policy and Model Risk MI monitoring. Ensure appropriate testing and documentation of actuarial models and support independent model review.
• Recommend to the Chief Actuary on the declared rates for the guaranteed retirement funds
• Motivate and inspire a team of actuaries to provide professional actuarial advice.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Studies or related discipline
• Qualified actuary with minimum 12 years of life insurance experience with proven exposure in valuation on IFRS17, basis review, financial planning, and Par fund management
• Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills
• Experience of leading a large team
• Strong self-motivation and commitment to process improvements
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
