College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

School of Professional Education and Executive Development
Research Assistant (Ref. 250321-01)
[Appointment period: seven months]
Duties
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in the Research Grants Council (RGC) funded project - “Numerical and Experimental Investigation of the Combustion and Emission Characteristics of Low to Medium Calorific Value Landfill Gas Blended with Hydrogen”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review, data collection and analysis;
(b) assist the project team to comply with the project objectives, scope, timetable, and the expected deliverable;
(c) assist in collecting, gathering, analysing and presenting data from work undertaken;
(d) contribute to wider research project development and implementation;
(e) prepare regular reports for the Research Project Team, and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or related disciplines;
(b) positive work attitude, good analytical and interpersonal skills;
(c) proficiency in English and Chinese;
(d) the ability to work independently and complete various tasks in tight timelines, and
(e) self-motivation and sense of responsibility.
