Defond, an ODM-centric control solutions provider, is hiring the EE & SW Engineering leader for our Appliances & building technology Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical expert on electronics and software for our solutions and applications.
• Focusing on UI/Motor control/IoT integrated control solutions, overseas electronics, embedded systems and software development. Ensure our design meet customer performance, quality, cost and timeline requirements and meet relevant industrial standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand the market, consumer and product requirements and translate them into technically sound ODM designs.
• Work with Sales on the technical offerings, gain customer and consumer insights to perpetuate our R&D technology roadmap.
• Drive continuous improvement in the design process, ensuring best practices, quality control, compliance with relevant standards and integration of the latest relevant technology to help differentiate our technical offerings.
• Lead the Engineering team, define and execute technical strategies that align with company growth directions.
• Develop and execute our technological roadmap, especially given our growth is surrounding integrated control solutions, including subsequent R&D capability accumulation, as well as integration of relevant latest technologies to beef up our future offerings.
• Ensure seamless translation from customer/market insights to R&D, and eventually manufactured as a cost effective and fitting product for our customers.
• Support the implementation of efficient project management methodologies, to ensure effective collaborations across all stakeholders and excellent product delivery across QCDS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or above in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
• 8 years or above work experience in electronics/ multifunctional modules Electrical Engineering, Software product design and development, preferably related to Appliances or building technologies.
• Proven experience in UI, Motor control, and/or integrated control solutions HW & SW development.
• Experience in IoT implementations is an asset.
• Experience in team management.
• Experience working with overseas customers and proficiency in English are required.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, especially along DFX and PFMEA.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and growth centric environment to want to achieve more.
• Willing to travel to China for our factory and Overseas for our customers.
