We are seeking a talented individual to join our Catastrophe Risk Services team at GC. This role will be based in Hong Kong.

We will count on you to:

• Organize and clean raw data from client for catastrophe risk analysis
• Perform catastrophe risk analysis with vendor/ internal catastrophe risk models and deliver modeling results to client and internal relevant teams
• Help maintain internal exposure and loss databases
• Conduct research of industry/ academic publications to provide additional sources/views for catastrophe risk analysis and client reports
• Maintain and update relevant modelling tools for efficiency
• Deliver more complex and tailor-made modelling solution to clients which is in-line with requirements and considering macro environment

What you need to have: 

• Bachelor degree holder or above ideally in Geography, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of prior experience in risk from the insurance/reinsurance sector is preferred.
• Desire to learn and further develop in the broader risk management field.
• Strong analytical and data skills with the ability to multitask and balance priorities.
• Outstanding computer and technical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, R or VBA
• Strong communication and presentation skills, independent and diligent.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
