Senior IT Specialist – VMware (Ref: SITS-VMW/SL)

Our client is a well-known and reputable enterprise with well-established IT division over a hundred staff in Hong Kong, and they are currently seeking an experienced Senior IT Specialists to join their IT Infrastructure team, responsible for all-rounded system implementation and support for the group.

Hardware:   Cisco blade server, NetApp FAS Storage, F5 GTM, LTM, and APN gateways

Operating Systems:   Windows or Linux Server

Software Tools:   VMware vSphere ESXi Enterprise, VMware vCenter Server, VMware Horizon View, VMware NSX Data Center, VMware Operation Manager, Microsoft SQL Server, I-sprint USO and UAS servers, Symantec End-point Protection server version 12.6 or later

Responsibilities:

• Check system and server healthiness and performance on daily basis
• Perform system monitoring and tuning, system administration and housekeeping activities
• Conduct patch review and annual patch management exercise
• Perform system upgrade or enhancements
• Troubleshoot system incidents and is responsible for problem diagnostics and escalation to vendors
• On-going cloud and digitalization development and support

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines
• Minimum six (6) years of solid experience in IT system support, of which at least two (2) years of good experience in some of the hardware, operating system and software as mentioned above
• Certified qualification in VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is preferred
