Salary: HK$31,795 per month
Entry Requirements:Candidates should -
(a) have either one of (i) – (iv) listed below, or equivalent:
(i) Level 3 or equivalent or above in five subjects including either Chinese Language or English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note (1)]; or
(ii) Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 / Grade C or above in three other subjects including either Chinese Language or English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); or
(iii) a Diploma in purchasing and supplies related subjects issued by the Hong Kong Polytechnic/Hong Kong Polytechnic University or the School of Continuing Education of the Hong Kong Baptist University; or
(iv) a Professional Diploma in Strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain Management issued by the Institute of Purchasing and Supply of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Productivity Council; and
(b)have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE [Note (2)], or equivalent; and
(c)have at least 5 years’ relevant full-time working experience in purchasing and supplies. Working experience in purchasing and supplies in the Government/ public organisations/ University Grants Committee-funded universities would be an advantage [Note (3)].
(Remark: The subjects in (a) (i) and (ii) above may include Chinese Language and English Language).
Note: (1)For appointment purpose, “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2) ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(3) Candidates should state their working experience in details in the application form.
Duties: (a)Handle procurement of goods and services related to The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong project;
(b)Vet purchase requisitions for the procurement of goods/services and consultancy services, draft and approve quotation/tender documents in accordance with the Government regulations;
(c)Handle enquiries and correspondences pertaining to procurement matters;
(d)Monitor quotation/tender progress and follow through to the contract award as well as assist in dealing with contract matters;
(e)Assist in consolidating and compiling various statistical returns; and
(f)Perform other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Terms of Appointment:Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of this Bureau and the performance of the candidate.
Fringe Benefits (a)An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(b)Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.
(b)For applications submitted by post, the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application. To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting.
