Assistant Finance Officer - Payroll Unit (Part time payroll processing and Retirement benefits) (24250064)
Responsibilities:
- Handle the full processing of part-time payroll including monthly payroll payments, tax returns, MPF contributions and other related matters;
- Perform general accounting work for payroll and retirement benefit transactions;
- Handle budget approval requests;
- Prepare reports related to payroll and contributions made on retirement benefits;
- Process retirement contributions and prepare reports for the transfer of funds to the trustees of the MPF schemes;
- Follow up and liaise closely with the fund administrators of the MPF schemes on issues or follow-up items concerning schemes enrolment and on-going maintenance of memberships;
- Prepare half-yearly reports for the retirement schemes;
- Process medical reimbursements;
- Assist in user testing and the implementation of system enhancement, if any; and
- Handle enquiries and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior(s).
Requirements:
- A recognised diploma or above and preferably with LCC Intermediate level in book-keeping and accounts;
- Fresh graduates are welcomed and will be considered;
- Candidates with knowledge in payroll processing, Employment/Inland Revenue Ordinances and MPF Schemes Ordinance will be an advantage;
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Demonstration of good analytical skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
- Good numerical sense and be detail-minded with strong leadership and organisational skills;
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
- A good team player, mature and self-motivated.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a proficiency test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
