Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Sommelier in the daily wine services and dining operations of the restaurant
• Make recommendations to guests on appropriate wine choices on food and wine pairings
• Build positive rapport with guests
• Constantly review guest feedback and mystery shopper results, in order to plan and implement corrective action if needed, to ensure complete guest satisfaction
• Assist in controlling and monitoring wine orders and stock at par level
• Drive beverage revenue in the outlet and maintain beverage costs within budget
• Review and analyze sales to ensure stock rotation and profitability remains within targets

Qualifications & Experience Required

• To attain this position, you must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar luxury, high-end work environment as Assistant Sommelier / Junior Sommelier
• Ideally you will have extensive wine and beverage knowledge
• Good command of English & Chinese (i.e. Cantonese & Mandarin)

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Sommelier
