Senior Executive Officer (Ref. 250321003-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) coordinate research grant applications and monitor the progress of research activities;
(b) serve committees;
(c) submit reports to external funding bodies;
(d) liaise with internal and external stakeholders;
(e) supervise junior staff members;
(f) coordinate and supervise all aspects of administration in the Office;
(g) provide inputs for systems development; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least eight years of solid administrative and/or supervisory experience, preferably with research administrative experience obtained in the higher education setting;
(c) have good ability in supporting committee work;
(d) have an excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua;
(e) possess good knowledge of using office computer software and applications, preferably with experience in development and maintenance of computer application system;
(f) have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
(g) be proactive and able to work independently.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
