1. Biomedical Engineering Workshop Practice;
2. Biomedical Equipment Specifications;
3. Safety Standards, Quality Control and Risk Management;
4. Biomedical Equipment Management and Maintenance;
5. Quality Assurance and Calibration Services for Biomedical Equipment and its specific Test Instruments and
6. Project Management, Material and Service Procurement and Product Liability.
Job Requirements
1. Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (biomedical, clinical or equivalent) from a local university or equivalent
2. Fresh graduates are welcome
3. Good communication and coordination skills
4. Good team player
5. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
6. Proficient in MS Office applications
Remarks
1. Work-based Training Program
The program aims at cultivating potential candidates to be a professional Biomedical Engineer. It covers practical experiences and knowledge in Biomedical Engineering including but not limited to biomedical equipment administration and maintenance, project management, clinical user support, etc. Under the guidance of supervisors, the employee gains competence and confidence to serve in CUHK Medical Centre.
2. A comprehensive assessment will be conducted to assess the appointee’s overall performance before the expiry of the contract.
3. The Resident Biomedical Engineer who has passed the assessment and has a satisfactory performance appraisal may be considered for appointment as an Assistant Biomedical Engineer upon the expiry of the contract.
Compensation and Employment Terms

Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
