Senior System Analyst/System Analyst (Mainframe & COBOL skills)
Work on IT solution implementation/development projects of different scales and complexities from inception to completion, and provide post implementation support.
Understand business needs and requirements, steer development and delivery of IT solution towards fulfilling the business objective.
Assist managing IT projects according to the Bank's established standards; including solution evaluation, proposal preparation, project initiation, planning, risk assessment/mitigation, reporting and documentation preparations.
Work together with team members or vendors to provide quality system development, maintenance and support services efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Information Technology or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of experience in system development and support on banking applications.
Experience in system development and support on different platforms, awareness of prevalent technology development and trends.
Hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe and familiar with programming skills of COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL or TWS; Java and SQL is preferred.
Good technical and written skills to evaluate system design, prepare/review technical documents and project plans.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
Strong organisational skills including the ability to plan, prioritize and schedule activities to achieve deliverables.
(Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of System Analyst)
