Job title: Virtualization Consultant

Location: Hong Kong

Position Purpose

Virtualization Consultant based in Hong Kong, will be working as a member of APAC IAAS Virtualization on the SGX DC relocation project. 

Key responsibilities

The Services shall include (but not be limited to) the following: 

• Manage and coordinate on IT assets (VMware vSphere Infrastructure) relocation. 
• Works with Project Leads and Virtualization SMEs on project planning activities. 
• Ensure requests are always well addressed, in a timely manner, with appropriate reporting. 
• Work closely with Infrastructure teams, Application teams, and peers to define clear specifications and gather requirements. 
• Do regular follow up with Infrastructure team, Application Support team, Business, and peers. 

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

• Proven experience on managing large-scale infrastructure projects , including data center relocations with virtualization infrastructure assets.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components on VMware vSphere is a must. 
• Familiarity with regional IT vendors . 
• Effective communication skills for managing stakeholders at all levels. 
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities .
• Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure  and meet deadlines. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Specific Qualifications Required

• Technical experience on UNIX/Windows servers, storage, switches, and firewalls will be an advantage. 
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification. 
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
