Position Summary:

A 46-month comprehensive blended-mode professional development tailored for kindergartens. The project seeks to provide practical coaching guidance and support to apply theory to practice for teachers and school management. The project promotes a conducive universal environment design to enhance inclusion and participation of all learner diversities and aims to foster a long-lasting support network between schools.

Job Purpose:

Support all research activities to achieve project outcomes, including developing and validating data collection tools, conducting data collection from various participants, assisting with data analysis, summarizing findings, contributing to the evaluation of the project, and performing additional assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ethical applications
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Design questionnaire, interview questions and data collection plans
  • Collect and analyse data through various methods, including survey and observations
  • Prepare materials for reports
  • Recruit and/or interview subjects individually or in a focus group
  • Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
  • Write reports, present findings, and collaborate with other researchers.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or above in education, psychology, or other social science subjects
  • At least three years’ relevant post-qualification working experience.
  • Experience in relevant research projects about early childhood education is a plus
  • Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodology 
  • Proficiency in using statistics software (e.g. SPSS)
  • Strong academic writing skills in both Chinese and English 
  • Knowledge in child development, education, in particular ECE is an advantage 

Salary and Fringe Benefits:

Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24-month contract.
Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. The College offers group medical insurance and dental, staff development support and annual leave to eligible appointee(s).
