This role manages a team to create unique and exceptional memories for our guests. Key Responsibilities

Welcome to the core of what being a Assistant Sommelier/ Sommelier is all about!

Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Assist Chef Sommelier to set and executes objectives and guidelines of wine programmes.
  • Maintain tight financial control relating to the budgets and goals set by department.
  • Assist in maintaining accuracy and efficiency of wine stock movement, requisition and transfer together with Chef Sommelier and Storekeeper 
  • Inspect wine storage room and restaurant fridges daily to ensure cleanliness.
  • Support with training programmes for the department, organise and follow through with daily team member briefings and trainings.
  • Control the quality of beverage sales and services on the restaurant floor.

Requirements

Here's exactly what you need to excel in this role:

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

  • At least 3 years' experience in similar capacity in high-end restaurant
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge. Excellent command of English & Chinese
  • Very flexible and able to adapt to changing environments and Management demands 

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Able to cope with pressure. Open outgoing positive attitude
