The M&R Supervisor and Admin oversees fleet maintenance, ensuring timely inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime. They manage maintenance costs, handle incidents, and enforce safety practices. The role includes leading the team to follow company regulations and achieve high performance while exceeding customer expectations.
Key Accountabilities:
Supervise and manage the daily maintenance operations, ensuring thorough inspections, timely repairs, and optimal performance of trucks, trailers, and associated equipment to guarantee uninterrupted service.
Team Leadership and Management, lead, mentor, and effectively schedule a team of maintenance personnel. Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless coordination between maintenance activities and operational requirements.
Preventive Maintenance Strategy, develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules aimed at minimizing fleet downtime, extending asset lifespan, and reducing the occurrence of unscheduled repairs.
Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of intricate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ensuring fleet reliability and adherence to safety standards.
Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Manage and monitor the fleet maintenance budget, strategically sourcing cost-effective parts and services while maintaining high-quality standards to control and reduce operational expenditures.
Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to prioritize repairs and ensure alignment between fleet maintenance schedules and business requirements, thus ensuring operational continuity.
Incorporate best practices and innovative solutions to enhance maintenance procedures, improve fleet performance, and optimize cost-efficiency.
Apply in-depth technical knowledge of engine mechanics, transmission systems, braking systems, and hydraulic components to ensure the fleet operates at peak performance and safety standards.
Flexibility by being available for overtime, on-call duties, and emergency response situations to address unforeseen maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experiences in transport operations with a solid understanding of fleet management, logistics processes, and operational efficiency.
Experience in the petroleum and gas industry is desirable, offering familiarity with industry-specific operational requirements and regulatory compliance.
Advanced computer literacy, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential for managing data, generating reports, and facilitating communication across departments.
Pro-active personality with strong interpersonal skills, a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners. Must possess a service-oriented mindset and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines consistently.
Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an advantage, contributing to efficient maintenance management, reporting, and inventory control.
