On behalf of an international commercial bank, we are seeking a senior RM / Head of business development. In this role you will maintain your position as a relationship manager, with your existing clients, whilst also taking responsibility for the origination of new business for the bank in Hong Kong.

What this is:

• Commercial Banking. Ideally you will have experience working with large corporates across any of the following industries:

Green energy

TMT

Data Centres

Automotive

Industrials

• China focused business (with the possibility of HK focused also if you can bring the relationships / contact base).
• Relationship Management – you already have a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Chinese language – you are fluent in English and Mandarin – Cantonese an advantage.

Role:

• Be a senior representative and lead the development of new business across China and Hong Kong based Corporates. This will be across core commercial banking products including trade financing, loans and deposits etc.
• Structure client requirements ensuring optimum Risk Adjusted Return on Capital performance across business and credit cycles.
• Own the entire credit process from timely preparation of the credit proposal to obtaining the credit approvals and subsequent documentation and onboarding.
• Adhere to structures and processes in place for the management of credit, operational, reputation, financial crime and regulatory risk.
• Achieve business targets for new-to-bank, profitability, deposits growth, income growth and cross-selling.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in credit and customer relationship management in the commercial banking sector with.
• Excellent credit analysis ability along with a deep knowledge of corporate banking products
• Strong networking, leadership and management skills
• Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a financial, or related, discipline.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
