Responsibilities

As a English Game Localization, you will be entrusted with the translation of our games from Chinese into English. The goal for this role is the successful localization and adaptation of Yotta’s products to the target market. In the long term, you’ll be a pivotal piece in allowing more players worldwide to enjoy our games.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Translate and localize in-game content and other game related content (marketing, player support, social media, and other contents) from Chinese into English;
2. Translate, proofread, and audit product localization, while communicating with creative and design teams;
3. Play and familiarize yourself with our game products, and provide insight on how to improve our localization practices;
4. Offer advice, cultural consultation, and creative ideas to development teams;
5. Perform short, routine LQA tests;
6. Offer advice and suggestions on how to better localize the whole product, including visuals etc. offering a local perspective;
7. Collaborate on various tasks based on team requirements and your personal interests;
8. Assist with the management and support of social media platforms;
9. Assist with player service to enhance user satisfaction and engagement, and gather feedback;
10. Participate in community management to build and maintain a positive relationship with our player base;
11. Contribute to the creation of glossaries and style guides to ensure content consistency and quality.

Qualifications

We Expect You To Have:

1. Professional level of Mandarin Chinese (Advanced, HSK5, C1, TOCFL4);
2. Passionate about the video game industry, and is familiar with gaming vocabulary;
3. An attentive and skilled writer, detail-oriented and critical thinker;
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team;
5. Proficient in Microsoft Suite;
6. Other skills are highly encouraged; Let us know just how talented you are!

Even Better If You Have:

1. Strong translation expertise and/or experience.
2. Experience in game localization is a big plus.
3. Expertise in the gaming industry.

Additional Information

• Job type: Full-time in-office position
• Location: SHANGHAI , Loushanguan Rd Line 2 Metro Station
• Work Visa: Provided
• Salary: 13k-30k RMB (depending on experience)
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 10am-7pm (including one-hour break)
