Faculty of Medicine
Technician (Ref. 250000IA) (Closing date: April 1, 2025)
The appointee will join the Education and Academic Affairs team within the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine.
The appointee will station at various teaching sites affiliated with the Faculty, including the Basic Medical Sciences Building and the KCT Clinical Skills Learning Centre (KCTCSLC) at the Prince of Wales Hospital, and will be responsible for (a) managing the day-to-day operations of teaching laboratories; (b) serving as the laboratory safety co-ordinator; (c) co-ordinating and supporting undergraduate teaching classes; (d) managing laboratory supplies, equipment, and records; (e) assisting with procurement process; and (f) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Sciences or a relevant subject; (ii) at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in managing teaching / simulation laboratories and supporting practical teaching; (iii) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and (iv) good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
