Purpose of the job

The purpose of this role is to support Accounting Manager and oversee day-to-day financial operations that deliver all aspects of accounting from financial statements preparation.

The role is responsible for a series of finance operations and to ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closing within all financial reporting deadlines, and perform competent analysis & reporting duties as required.

The role will have to work closely with the stakeholders in the business and support them in all finance functions proactively to enable them to make sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for daily operations in all finance bookkeeping (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank & cash, intercompany and general ledger) and reconciliation
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and monthly management reports
• Work closely with operation teams to ensure operation related issues are reconciled in the system
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, adherence to Group accounting policies, procedures and systems, and other financial reporting requirements
• Handle ad hoc projects/analysis as assigned include but not limited to implementation of updated reporting systems and other accounting assignments

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• Degree holder in Accounting, member of HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent, Qualified accountant is desirable
• At least 6 years solid working experience in accounting field
• Detail oriented, good communicator
• Meticulous and have an eye for details
• Ability to work independently as well as being a good team player
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office (particularly Excel, Pivot Table); hands-on experience with financial systems, accounting software
• Able to work in a dynamic environment under pressure and tight timelines
