Assistant Academic Services Manager (Ref. 250324014-IE)
Duties:
The appointee will be required to:
(a) manage admissions operations with a focus on international qualifications;
(b) support the management of University entry scholarships;
(c) assist in planning and implementing undergraduate admissions processes, optimising workflows, and coordinating enhancements to systems and the website;
(d) prepare reports and analyse admissions data, contributing to policy reviews and admission-related projects;
(e) address inquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders;
(f) supervise and guide junior staff; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar or his delegates.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least five years of relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions or sizable organisations;
(c) experience in planning and conducting activities in admission/student administrative-related work;
(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(e) strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of applications accurately and efficiently;
(f) strong analytical skills and literacy in database systems and computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
(g) good planning, organisational, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills;
(h) a proactive attitude and mindfulness of embracing new technologies; and
(i) an inquisitive spirit and a high sense of responsibility.
Preference will be given to those who have experience in non-JUPAS and international admissions.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
