Our Client is a private Hong Kong-based property development and investment company. They aim to create balance and alignment between the needs of their company, teams and partners. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support their back-office accounting function: payments, general ledger, management accounts and treasury management. This role will involve managing various ad hoc tasks as they come up.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting operations, handle full sets of accounts, including but not limited to data entry, voucher preparation and filing, accounts receivable and payable, and record keeping
Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports
Coordinate with auditors, review audited accounts, and prepare profits tax computations
Collaborate with different business units to gather relevant financial data and provide analysis
Manage and maintain the fixed asset registry, including but not limited to reconciliation of ledgers, depreciation calculation, and conducting physical counts
Monitor the payment cycle to ensure proper approval, accuracy and timeliness
Review payment vouchers and cheques
Assist in the annual overhead budgeting process by providing data and analysis. Support performance management by monitoring actual against budget
Assist in treasury management, including but not limited to managing and reporting the company's cash levels, preparing bank instruction documents and assisting with cash flow projections
Handle ad hoc projects as assigned
Job requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related disciplines
Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in audit and accounting
Professional qualification in HKICPA/ACCA or finalist
Working experience in family office, treasury management & property industry will be an advantage
Proficient in written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese)
Strong PC skills, including MS office, and English & Chinese word processing.
Knowledge of Flex Account or other finance bookkeeping and consolidation tools such as Oracle, SAP, Workday will be an advantage
Self-initiative, willing to accept challenges, strong analytical and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skill with client-centric approach. Proactive to follow up on matters and being a collaborative team member
