JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall daily responsibility for transaction, position and pricing management for client accounts 
  • Coordinate with Portfolio Managers, Executing Brokers, Prime Brokers, Custodians, Fund Accountants and/or other 3rd party providers 
  • Perform and review the upload of transactions, prices and corporate actions into system
  • Identify position breaks and timely resolution with other parties
  • Track and escalate the material issues 
  • Manage the middle office onboarding process and perform portfolio conversions when necessary 
  • Static data maintenance (security master, counterparty master etc.)
  • Daily and monthly P&L and other reporting processes
  • Timely response to PM queries
  • Assist with Due Diligence questionnaire responses
  • Additional responsibilities include fund valuation, implementing policies, procedures and internal controls, process improvement, ad hoc reporting and other administrative duties

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of operations/middle office experience in a financial services firm, ideally an asset management firm or middle office services provider
  • General exposure to varied asset types including Fixed Income, Equities and exchange-traded derivatives. Knowledge of OTC derivatives would be a plus
  • Transaction management, including trade and position reconciliations 
  • Position management, including corporate actions management
  • Liaise with system vendors for UAT/system migration
  • Experience of hedge fund or family office operations either within an asset manager or at a service provider would be a plus
  • Experience with Advent Geneva and Eze OMS/PMA would be a plus

This role is part of a small start-up team (within a wider financial services firm). The candidate must

  • Be prepared to handle multiple operational, administration and accounting functions as needed
  • Be detailed and process-oriented
  • Have a client and quality focus
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, displaying competence and confidence
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Have fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation would be a plus
  • Sound knowledge in one of the following: VBA / Python / SQL / PowerShell / Batch would be a plus
