Our client is a well-known contemporary fashion group seeking a Merchandising Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for formulating buy and product management strategies of the brand, working closely with the overseas and local teams to maximize sales and brand performances.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate merchandising strategies and develop OTB planning based on analysis of sales performance, inventory level and market trend.
• Monitor closely and report on the international trends of assigned brands/product lines in terms of styling, materials, technology etc.
• Closely communicate local product needs to brands, request right and relevant product offering, negotiating trade terms, payment terms, subsidy or royalty, and to communicate product compliance requirements
• Assist management to prepare annual budget on turnover and GP, and exercise budgetary control on sampling
• Responsible for product management including product line planning and forecast, product selection and segmentation, pricing, sample and bulk order placement
• Provide direction and lead product development team on range development, drive target ex-factory price, production and delivery schedule
• Analyze sales data and monitor business performance for implementation of relevant product strategies
• Master and schedule seasonal tradeshow, define order policy and timeline

Requirements

• University graduate in related disciplines
• 10 years’ experience in buying / category management experience gained from fashion industry.
• Strong business sense with analytical mindset.
• Pro-active, result-oriented, good communication skill and able to work under pressure
• Proficient with MS Office.  Advanced level in Excel.
