Reporting to the Section Head, Platform Development, the jobholder will serve as the Business Development Manager, Sponsorship responsible for driving business development in exhibitions and digital platform sponsorship opportunities, encompassing trade fairs, online digital platforms and digital marketing channels. Main duties include:
To manage business development initiatives for exhibitions and digital platform sponsorships, including trade fairs, online platforms, and digital marketing channels, to meet sales and revenue goal Conduct sales calls, visits, virtual presentations, and organize roadshows or webinars to promote exhibitions and digital offerings
Monitor and manage sponsorship recruitment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals for physical and digital initiatives using CRM
To work with local and international partners to increase sponsorship opportunities
To collaborate with internal teams (including platform, marketing, data, and customer success) and external stakeholders, such as trade and industry associations and co-organizers, to develop and implement integrated projects
Build and maintain relationships with industry players, sponsors, and customers to gather market intelligence and understand evolving needs in physical and digital spaces
Oversee on-site logistics for sponsorship events at trade fairs and ensure smooth integration with digital components like live streams or virtual booths
Collaborate with the Inbound Marketing Manager to ensure smooth Sales & Marketing operations and to achieve the overall team's KPI under the Section Head's leadership
Leading a team of Project Executives in collaboration with the Inbound Marketing Manager to support all related sales and marketing campaigns, as well as on-site operations
Requirements:
A recognized university degree with at least 5 years’ solid working experience, preferably with sizeable organizations, in areas such as: business development; sales and marketing; exhibition/event management; content & digital marketing; project management; or partnership/network building
Strong knowledge of Hong Kong’s trade, business, and digital landscapes, including key industries, markets, and the opportunities/challenges faced by SMEs in both physical and online environments
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; proficiency in a third language is an advantage
A collaborative team player with proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at managing complex projects across physical and digital domains
Outgoing, culturally adaptable, and comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders
Innovative, adaptable, and capable of delivering results under tight deadlines and resource constraints
