Your new company

Our client is a medical and chemical company focused on developing innovative therapies for cancer treatment. They are looking for a new position in Hong Kong to oversee the logistics and supply chain operations for various pharmaceutical products, including Finished Products (FP), Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and Drug Products (DP). The role requires strong experience in logistics management within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, as well as excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.



Your new role

• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, reporting any compliance issues to management.
  
• Maintain adherence to cGMP, GSP/GDP, and SOX regulations.
  
• Develop and implement effective transportation and storage relationships, ensuring safe and timely distribution of temperature-controlled products.
  
• Identify and implement solutions to enhance supply chain quality and efficiency.
  
• Coordinate with warehouses, logistics carriers, couriers, and customs brokers for all transport services, ensuring the integrity of products during transit.
  
• Manage import and export processes, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, particularly in APAC and GCN.
  
• Serve as a liaison with Commercial Planning for distribution order management and resolving logistical challenges.
  
• Communicate shipment risks and support corrective actions to minimise supply risks.
  
• Establish operational procedures for shipment verification and performance tracking.
  
• Develop and enforce SOPs for all logistics management aspects, including import/export activities and transportation risk analysis.
  
• Assess vendor performance and report operational metrics (KPIs) to senior management.
  
• Collaborate with QA and QC teams to ensure audit readiness and compliance during regulatory audits.
  
• Support financial planning by overseeing logistics expenses and assisting in annual budgeting.
  
• Assist Packaging Engineers in conducting Lane Risk Assessments.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned in our dynamic environment.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or similar field required. Advanced degree preferred.
  
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry,
  
• Strong understanding of global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., cGMP, GDP) and relevant laws.
  
• Expertise in import/export processes, lot-level inventory management, and temperature-controlled distribution.
  
• Experience in vendor oversight and managing external partnerships.
  
• Familiarity with biologics and/or small molecule supply chains.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  
• Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead without positional authority.
  
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
