Our client is a leading third-party logistics provider specialising in cold chain solutions for the food and beverage industry. We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to oversee and optimise the cold chain logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of cold chain regulations. This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.



Your new role

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service excellence.
  
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  
• Oversee all aspects of cold chain logistics, ensuring compliance with temperature control standards and food safety regulations.
  
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and drive improvements.
  
• Oversee the operations budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  
• Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and procurement, to align operational capabilities with business objectives.
  
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in cold chain logistics or the food and beverage industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and cold chain logistics best practices.
  
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
