Department: Corporate & RORA Services - Ogier Global

Description:

The role reports to the Regulatory Reporting Manager and is responsible for providing support to the Corporate Administrator team with regulatory reporting. The role will be primarily responsible for coordinating and filing Beneficial Ownership (BO) regime data and Economic Substance (ES) data with the relevant reporting teams in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands. The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound understanding of the BO and ES regimes, including the reporting requirements and relevant regulatory deadlines. The Candidate will also be experienced in collaborating with Senior Management and Law Firm stakeholders on projects and ongoing BO and ES reporting requirements and filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Corporate & RORA services team by:

  • liaise with clients and legal team with respect to the collection of data, forms and supporting documents relating to the BO and ES reporting regimes;
  • ensuring compliance with the record keeping requirements in Viewpoint related to BO and ES regime for the regulatory reporting team in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands to arrange filings;
  • monitoring Clarity Alerts;
  • preparing management report to summarize regulatory filings status; and
  • providing trainings in regulations and relevant changes.

  • Absolute devotion to data quality and integrity with attention to detail in all activity, with focus on utilizing the systems to their maximum potential to drive efficiency and client service;

  • Monitor the client base with respect to compliance with the BO and ES regime and escalate non-compliant clients;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams within Ogier Global and Ogier legal to provide accurate and current information for filing;

  • Liaise with operations team for internal system updates and perform UAT;

  • Assist with ad hoc requests from the Ogier Global management team;

  • Support Ogier's ''One Best Way'' ethos across the team, through rigorous process analysis to drive alignment and consistency;

  • Understand and comply with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • At least 5 years' experience working in a financial or regulatory function, preferably in a law firm or corporate service;

  • Sound knowledge in the BO regime and ES Act and requirements in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands;

  • Considerable practical experience;

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build positive and effective working relationships within the business and across jurisdictions;

  • Commitment to high standards of client service based on understanding needs and delivering solutions;

  • Excellent organizational skills. A team player with strong attention to detail. Proven diagnostic, and problem solving skills;

  • Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint would be an advantage.
