Howden Insurance Brokers (HK) Limited is part of the London-headquartered Howden Broking Group, a leading independent, global broker with offices in over 30 countries worldwide. It is the world’s largest majority employee-owned insurance group. Its regional footprint covers Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore (regional headquarters), Thailand. Howden creates and services insurance programs across a diverse range of insurance and reinsurance specialisms on a global basis.

We are professional insurance brokers who represent clients, not insurance companies. We act as an intermediary between clients and insurance companies, helping the former find the solution that best suits their needs in terms of risk management practices and financial controls, balancing premiums against a recommended level of cover.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining positive client relationships by supporting account servicing, underwriting processes, and claims assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate and prepare insurance quotations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the review and verification of policy documents for new cases and renewals, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide insurance advice, address client inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely information to maintain customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Assist in Property and Casualty (P&C) broking, including corporate risk and personal lines.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • Degree or diploma holder, with insurance qualifications to practice as an insurance broker in Hong Kong (i.e. IIQE Paper 1 & 2) is a must.
  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance broking, including corporate and commercial sectors.
  • Good understanding of insurance products, claims processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly driven and energetic with good interpersonal and communication skills, a good team player, and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

YOUR BENEFITS AND SALARY:

  • Commensurate with qualification and experience
  • Working in a collaborative environment with development opportunities

Yes, we offer all the usual rewards and benefits – including hybrid working, free beverage in workplace, competitive compensation, birthday leave, employee stock options and more – but we know you expect all that.

What you might not expect is a job where everyone has a voice, where volunteering in the community is part of the day job, and where everyone is encouraged to play a part towards our sustainability goals. We want people who want to make a difference - not just in the workplace, but in the industry and in the wider community.

Howden starts with people – a culture driving force in our work, pushing us to create a company we’re proud of. One that leverages the power of insurance to shape a better future, for our clients and our communities.

Our culture:

People first

We have seen time and again that when we give our teams the space to perform and the support to grow, our clients reap the rewards.

Diversity & Inclusion

We consider our people our chief competitive advantage and as such we treat colleagues, candidates, clients, and business partners with equality, fairness and respect, regardless of their age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, marital status or family circumstances.

Finding the most talented and entrepreneurial people to join Howden has been and will continue to be key. If you are interested in the above role, please send your Curriculum Vitae with full career details, availability, current and expected salary to us.
