Key Responsibilities



System Administration & Support

  • Manage and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7.x - 9.x) and Ubuntu (16.x - 22.x) environments .

  • Perform in-place OS upgrades and troubleshoot failures.

  • Handle Veritas and OpenSVC clusters for system reliability.

  • Develop and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks for automation.

  • Resolve infrastructure issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors .

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and regulatory compliance .

  • Support disaster recovery tests, live-play exercises, and business continuity planning .

  • Report and track incidents, escalating when necessary.

  • Implement audit recommendations and maintain proper documentation.

Project & Change Management

  • Contribute to IT infrastructure projects , system migrations, and upgrades.

  • Plan, test, and execute production changes following Change Management processes .

  • Provide technical expertise and status updates to business users and stakeholders .

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7.x - 9.x) and Ubuntu (16.x - 22.x)
  • Experience handling i n-place OS upgrades and troubleshooting failures.
  • Strong knowledge of Veritas and OpenSVC clusters for daily operations and project implementation.
  • Proficiency in Ansible, including coding, applying, and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to break down complex technical issues for both non-technical managers and senior system administrators.
  • Preferable experience with low-latency or electronic trading networks .
  • Proven ability to handle and contribute to complex IT projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic and logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Effective time management, attention to detail, and strong presentation and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends, provide on-call support, and respond to incidents outside office hours.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach, taking ownership and working directly with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Service-oriented, customer-focused, and adaptable, with a positive, results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to plan, test, and execute production changes following a robust Change Management process.
  • Experience in preparing audit documentation, reports, and IT procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with Ansible Tower, Centrify, Veritas, and BMC software.
  • Familiarity with VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, and SAN storage technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python .
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working within DevOps teams.
