Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Leader in developing strategies and solutions for decarbonization and cleaner production, and to support succession planning within the organization
• Partner with Key Account Managers to understand customer needs and requirements related to decarbonization and cleaner production
• Provide support and guidance to Subject Matter Leader in developing and executing decarbonization and cleaner production initiatives
• Engage with industry programs, associations, and development agencies to stay updated on the latest trends, policies, and initiatives related to decarbonization and cleaner production
• Collaborate with brands and retailers to understand their sustainability goals and provide solutions to help them achieve them
• Build partnerships with other organizations to promote harmonized industry standards and best practices in decarbonization and cleaner production.
• Horizon Scanning and Policy Interpretation:
• Stay informed about the latest policies, demands, and initiatives concerning decarbonization and cleaner production across the consumer products industry.
• Interpret these developments and provide insights to Subject Matter Leader and other stakeholders to help them make informed decisions.
• Industry Standards Development
• Participate in external expert working groups focused on priority topics related to decarbonization and cleaner production.
• Contribute to the development of harmonized industry standards that promote sustainability and efficiency across the consumer products industry.
• Develop and distribute internal training materials and communication resources to raise awareness and build capacity within the organization.
• Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and equipped to support decarbonization and cleaner production initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or other related fields.
• At least 10 years’ work experience in sustainability with a focus on decarbonization
• At least 5 years’ experience with Science-based Targets Framework, and Climate related Disclosure/in contributing to industry working groups/in being part of projects by development organizations (giz, IFC, World Bank, WWF, etc)
• Cross-industry expert network in decarbonization and Cleaner Production
• Knowledge of footwear, apparel and accessories manufacturing, or related industry in terms of production processes and impact on Sustainability aspects
• Experience in developing a cross-functional projects team
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and 1 more Asian/European language.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in Strategy development, making connections, strong desire to create solutions to address Climate Mitigation, Waste Prevention, and Sound Management of chemicals.
