Senior Product Manager (Remote)

Zupe
Apply Now

At Zupe, we’re building the world’s first social wellness network where people can get trusted health advice, connect with a thriving community, and shop the world's best wellbeing products all in one place. Zupe is a discovery platform — a super-app for iOS, Android, and the web, that seamlessly integrates technology — to connect health-conscious users who know what they want with what they need and what’s good for them.

This is a remote role that can be based anywhere, but you must be able to work across the IST timezone. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What’s the role?

This high-speed role requires a great deal of complex problem-solving across time zones, and tireless entrepreneurial spirit. You will be shaping the landscape of our product as we go through test flight launch, market-validation, and — ultimately — a major market entry. You will own product strategy for building a world-class platform and we expect you to find solutions and create opportunities with a minimum of hand-holding. We are largely unencumbered by red tape, but the building process is a critical step towards scale: be prepared to build a structure that empowers ongoing, sustainable rapid growth. You will collaborate with developers and consumer-facing colleagues to focus on understanding our users, identifying opportunity areas, prioritizing the problems we must solve, and rapidly creating innovative user experience solutions, while understanding the resource constraints of a startup. We are looking for a highly experienced product manager to continually push the innovation bar on how we optimise products to drive new and existing user engagement and retention. Ultimately, you value results, are able to prioritise deadlines, and are known for not making excuses — knowing that stakeholders are counting on you to drive and manage complex technology.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Own the relationship with our development team by ensuring they receive adequate guidance and ongoing support.
  • Lead product strategy and execution for features and programs designed to empower and support our users at each step of the user life cycle (create, publish, ask, answer, shop, etc.).
  • Develop and thoroughly present product launch strategy and go-forward recommendations.
  • Work flexibly across multiple time zones.
  • Solicit ideas and feedback from users, gather requirements, write product specs and workflows, and coordinate cross-functionally while balancing the needs and resources of an early-stage startup.
  • Ensure product development and functionality meets end-user expectations (loading times, ease of use etc.) and operational considerations (fulfillment, accounting, etc.)
  • Educate and influence both leaders and a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders to secure buy-in on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Spark innovation within the teams responsible for creator success on the platform.
  • Drive product delivery in line with predefined KPIs & OKRs.
  • Manage a UI/UX designer.

You’ll need to have:

  • A background in product management and strategy.
  • At least 7+ years in a similar role managing mobile applications (iOS + Android).
  • Significant experience in launching, scaling, and managing the development of mobile applications applying knowledge of best practices, and meeting industry standards.
  • Experience in and knowledge of web-based applications.
  • The proven ability to successfully manage relationships with development teams.
  • A creative mindset that can devise innovative ideas to capture market opportunities and overcome roadblocks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex concepts simply and efficiently including to colleagues who may not speak English fluently.
  • A strong understanding of the wellness ecosystem, including social media content and e-commerce (namely Shopify).
  • High attention to detail (nothing gets past you!).
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • The ability to juggle and prioritise tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.

We’d love to see:

  • Knowledge of user-generated content platforms
  • Experience with DTC e-commerce
  • Strong industry connections (Apple, Meta, Google etc.)
