Job Highlights

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the day-to day management and operation of a home for the elderly including the general administration, staff supervision and budgetary control;
  • To plan, monitor and evaluate the service provision in health care and psychosocial needs of the residents;
  • To be responsible for the home operation in compliance with the licensing requirements of RCHEs;
  • To liaise with the local stakeholders e.g. training institutes, volunteers, NGOs for service enhancement.

Service Nature: Elderly Service

Entry Requirement:

  • Attained English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language at Grade D or above in the H.K.C.E.E.;
  • a recognized degree in Social Work or equivalent;
  • at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in elderly services;
  • registered under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 505) as Registered Social Worker;

Compensation and Employment Terms:

  • The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $51,545 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 23). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience.
  • The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review.
  • Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
