The Department

The job is in the Property Section and the job holder is one of the officers reporting directly to Assistant Facilities Services Manager. 

Major work scope includes overseeing project management work, safety management system, hygienic control, repair and maintenance, staff recruitment and co-ordination, facility inventory control, facility scheduling, risk assessment and management, and budgetary control.  Procurement of services / work, justification of expenses, directing and monitoring contractor’s activities and inspections of facilities are also part of the major responsibilities.

The Job

You will: 

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Facilities Services Manager and the team for implementing and maintaining facilities services at Happy Valley Racecourse to ensure hygiene and well equipped environment for users on race days and non race days.
  • Assist in financial management, budget control and fixed assets control.
  • Liaise with and monitor the performance of the external contractors.
  • Supervise an on-site team to meet working standards and deliver quality services.
  • Proactively involve in sustainability task group and occupational health and safety work group.
  • Ensure adhere to procurement procedures.
  • Handle enquiries and complaints from stakeholders/ customers.
  • Carry out site patrol to ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and standard are well maintained.
  • Require to perform race day duty.

About You

You should have:

  • A Degree / Higher Diploma in Facilities Management / Property Management or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years relevant work experience in Facilities Management / Property Management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in both Chinese and English
  • Hands-on experience in using MS Office applications
