Project Manager (Major Project Renovation)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the major renovation project of hotel and multi-purpose community center, ensuring effective monitoring of progress and quality of work;
  • Lead and manage the consultant team from design feasibility study stage to handover stage;
  • Lead and facilitate effective communication among all relevant parties, including end-users and consultant team, throughout the tendering and construction stage;
  • Control, manage, supervise, and administer consultant team and contractors to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and specified quality standards;
  • Develop and review comprehensive construction plans and long-term maintenance strategy including phasing, logistics, environmental considerations, safety and health plans, quality control, and delivery strategies, etc.;
  • Liaise with and participate in all inspections and meetings with consultant team, contractors, end-users, and other relevant personnel;
  • Ensure compliance with local codes of practice and regulations as set by the Building and Licensing Authority (BD/FSD/HAD/WSD, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, building surveyor, building services engineer or a related field;
  • Corporate membership of the relevant professional institution and a registered professional in Hong Kong is preferred;
  • Minimum of 15 years of project management experience, preferably in project and construction management roles for large-scale hotel renovation project, club house and / or deluxe high-rise residential building;
  • Proven leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills across all organizational levels, demonstrating the ability to lead projects independently, and maintaining alignment and motivation of the consultant team and contractors;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the capacity to balance competing stakeholder requirements while meeting delivery timelines and budget constraints;
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve issues;
  • Ability to make independent decisions and familiarity with local statutory requirements, building codes, and submission procedures;
  • Willingness to work beyond office hours;
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese is required.
