Our client, a leading fashion accessories brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Merchandising Assistant to support the Head of Design in managing the production process for their eyewear collection. This role is ideal for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or production, looking to grow their career in the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Design in coordinating the end-to-end production process for eyewear, from initial concept to final delivery
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate production of eyewear products
  • Create and maintain detailed product timelines, tracking key milestones and deliverables
  • Gather and organize product specifications, tech packs, and other technical documentation for each eyewear style
  • Monitor and report on production status, identifying and escalating any potential delays or issues
  • Assist in the preparation of product samples, prototypes, and salesmen samples for review and approval
  • Maintain organized records of product information, communications, and decisions in PLM or other systems
  • Support the creation of product assortment plans and line sheets for eyewear collections
  • Assist in the coordination of product photoshoots and the preparation of marketing materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, production, or related roles within the fashion industry
  • Familiarity with eyewear production processes and terminology is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with PLM systems is preferred
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn and take on new challenges
  • Passion for fashion and accessories with an understanding of market trends and customer preferences
