Our client is a sizable multinational freight forwarding company with attractive benefits is urgently looking for the following positions : 

Position : Business Development Manager - Logistics / Freight Management / Supply Chain 

Salary : Negotiable (Deps on experience)

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree or above, major in Business Administration or related discipline
  • At least 5-8 yrs of Business Development experience in Logistics in South East Asia / South China markets
  • Strong network in the Logistics Industry in Southeast Asia / North Asia is highly preferable 
  • Good understanding of Logistics market trends and industry insights
  • Independent, resourceful & posses a high drive to excel
  • Excellent written and spoken in English & Chinese (Including Mandarin & Cantonese)
  • Proactive, Smart, Sales Oriented, Business acumen and agility
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to influence across teams 
  • Stable, Proactive, Smart, Sales Oriented, Business acumen and agility

Responsibilities : 

  • He/She will identify new partnerships to expand their footprint in target markets and in collaboration with Procurement, develop service offerings to strength Company's value proposition in target markets
  • Align sales strategies and with Head Commercial, map business planning and sales pipeline development
  • Develop growth strategies focusing on financial results and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities in the assigned markets, leading to strong BD pipeline
  • Collect and feedback on market intelligence and opportunities, and create and maintain a list/ database of prospective customers in CRM
  • Develop sales tools and related resources to ensure overall sales effectiveness
  • Establish relationship with target customers, understand customers' needs and build business relationships 50% time
  • Partner with internal teams to review, develop and link business opportunities, market trends, costs and the company's capabilities to win new customers and maximise profitability
  • Partner with Operations teams to develop service solutions to support customers' needs
  • Partner with Marketing and Communication to position Company as a significant player in the target markets
  • Work with internal teams and Marketing and Communication to develop quarterly updates
  • Other projects ie. Sales and Marketing campaigns
