As the Programme Director, you will spearhead the development and execution of strategic plans that establish engaging and impactful programmes grounded in YMCA values, aimed at enriching the well-being of participants. These programmes will emphasize holistic personal development, empowering individuals of all ages, including seniors, to become confident and responsible community members. A central aspect of this role is to embody Christian principles through initiatives that nurture the spirit, mind, and body of all participants. This position will report directly to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for innovative programmes focused on physical health education, mental health, and wellness activities for participants of all ages.
Oversee the management and enhancement of programmes, sports facilities, and campsites, ensuring they align with the YMCA's mission.
Ensure that all programmes and facilities adhere to Hong Kong Government legal, statutory, and safety requirements.
Identify and pursue new opportunities to broaden programme offerings both within and outside the YMCA.
Create and promote state-of-the-art fitness and wellness programmes for community members.
Oversee the financial performance of the programme to ensure it aligns with effective budget management and P&L oversight.
Monitor programme participation and gather user feedback to facilitate continuous improvement and growth.
Develop and refine policies related to the administration and operation of YMCA programmes.
Requirements:
Strong commitment to the Christian mission and values of the YMCA.
Bachelor degree in a relevant field, or equivalent, coupled with 10 years of managerial experience managing diverse functions and services within physical health education programmes and recreational/sports facilities.
Exceptional leadership, influencing, and networking abilities.
A collaborative team player with a high degree of integrity.
Mature and people-focused, with strong leadership and managerial skills.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and motivate individuals to achieve goals.
Results-oriented and insightful, possessing strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication skills and technical proficiency.
Valid first aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain these certifications.
Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment; fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
