Our client, one of the leading banks here in Asia, is urgently looking to hire a strong and hands-on UNIX Engineer to join their team and help with on-going projects, expansion and day-to-day support of their infrastructure across the APAC region. Excellent opportunity and exposure.

The role:

• Hands-on role providing technical support for projects and IT services;
• As the successful candidate, you will focus on project implementation and delivery, as well as maintaining high-quality services;
• Working closely with other teams and colleagues across the region, you will also be a strong team player, well-organised, have strong technical skills and experience;
• Part of regional team covering shift support, day-to-day operational support, and project delivery/implementation;

What you offer:

• At least 4-6+ years experience as a UNIX / RHEL Engineer, ideally coming from a large & complex environment (Banking / FSI and regional experience a big plus);
• Red Hat Linux 7.x / 8.x / 9.x;
• Ubuntu Linux (a plus);
• Scripting and automation using bash / shell, plus Ansible and Python;
• Knowledge and experience in an ITIL organisation, including SLAs, best practices, incident management, change management etc.;
• Project delivery experience: implementing upgrades, migrations, in-place upgrades, rollouts etc.;
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related);
• Technical certifications (RHEL, ITIL etc.) would be a plus;

Good to have:

• Veritas and OpenSVC clustering;
• VSAN, iSCSI, NAS and/or SAN storage;
• Knowledge or experience using Agile or Devops;
• Immediate joiner (highly preferred);
