Program Manager - Talent Development and Education (Scholarships)

Reporting into the team Lead, the Program Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing education programs particularly focused on scholarship and fellowship giving (includes launching new scholarship schemes for top talent) - programs are focused on Mainland-related schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive, develop and implement programs dedicated to education and talent development through the provision of scholarships with particular focus on Mainland China.
  • Oversee project development and advancement, identify areas of improvement, and measure its impact and objective achievement pathway.
  • Support operations, manage existing and launch new scholarships, including promotion and recruitment, selection, and engagement programs for scholars.
  • Oversee budget planning and control, manage internal and external processes, and ensure program integrity.
  • Liaise with Mainland stakeholders and partners, government, schools, and service providers to ensure the correct implementation of projects.
  • Produce high quality progress reports for committee, board, and internal team meetings.
  • Represent the team and be and be advocate for the team's mission, be present at ceremonies, functions, and relevant events, whilst building the Scholars / Fellows community into a talent network to create sustainable programme impact.
  • Oversee the works and development of other team members and support them where needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience in education or public administration, preferably in the Mainland, or in management of post-graduate programs.
  • Solid track record of project management with people management experience, and a strong goal-oriented leadership style
  • Strong organisation skills with high self-motivation and exceptional attention to details
  • Being able to multitask and work effectively both as a team player and independently to meet tight schedules.
  • Excellent speaking and writing proficiency in Chinese and English, heavy reporting required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

Candidates with less years of experience will be considered as Assistant Program Managers.
