A Brief Overview

The Accounting Analyst is mainly responsible to support the treasury operations and the month-end expense cycle. The role prepares the monthly bank reconciliation reports and other management reports to support the team in month-end closing. Additionally, the role handles compliance tasks such as government surveys and tax-related filings.

What You Will Do

• Treasury Management Support the treasury operations and co-ordinate with Global Treasury functions which including but not limited to handle the payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payments; prepare the monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies; maintain accurate records of all treasury transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Expense Management Support the month-end closing on expense cycle; track and analyze company expenses to ensure they are within budget; identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control spending; support the FP&A in the expense cycle.
• Management Reporting Prepare the management reports, e.g. cash flow projections and expense reports; support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to local management.
• Compliance Handle the Hong Kong Government surveys; support all the tax related filings.
• Collaboration Work with other functional areas to achieve efficient and effective accounting practices and procedures and responds to and requests from other functional areas on various inquires.
• Others Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements that may extend beyond the area of oversight. Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years accounting experience, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in management reporting and analysis.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Chartered Accountant or CPA certification preferred.
