Primary Function:

The first mission of the Logistics & Freight Cost Manager is to conduct a full audit of the company’s existing logistics and freight operations. This includes analyzing current shipping costs, packaging methods, 3PL partnerships, customs processes, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Analysis – Assess current logistics costs, shipping processes, packaging efficiency, and carrier partnerships.

✅ Action Plan Development – Create a detailed plan to reduce shipping costs, improve transit times, and streamline logistics.

✅ Freight Cost Optimization – Identify the most cost-effective global shipping solutions and negotiate with freight carriers.

✅ Packaging & Repacking Strategies – Optimize package sizes, weights, and volumes to minimize shipping costs while maintaining product integrity.

✅ 3PL & Freight Management – Work closely with 3PL providers to streamline inbound and outbound logistics.

✅ B2C & DTC Shipping Expertise – Manage direct-to-consumer (DTC) shipping using major courier services.

✅ Customs & Compliance – Ensure all shipments meet global customs regulations, duties, and import/export requirements.

✅ Logistics Network Optimization – Identify the best routes and carriers for efficient global fulfillment.

✅ Data-Driven Decision Making – Use shipping and logistics data to continuously improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience in 3PL, freight forwarding, and logistics (preferably in China/HK).

· Strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and trade compliance.

· Hands-on experience with major B2C shipping platforms (FedEx, SF Express, DHL, UPS, USPS, etc.).

· Proven track record of reducing logistics costs and optimizing fulfillment strategies.

· Strong negotiation skills to work with shipping carriers and logistics providers.

· Knowledge of freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain operations

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, e-commerce-driven environment.
