Luxury Goods Photographer - Hong Kong

Wellcom Worldwide is seeking a talented Full-time Photographer who specialises in capturing luxury goods to join our team in Hong Kong. This role demands a high degree of technical proficiency and an eye for detail to create visuals that elevate our clients' premium products.

The role is based onsite at our clients new studios at several sites across Hong Kong

The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled photographer with great experience in product photography particularly in the luxury sector. You will be responsible for producing high-quality images that showcase the craftsmanship, elegance, and exclusivity of luxury items across various categories. Your work will be instrumental in creating compelling visual content for our clients marketing and e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-end product photography shoots for luxury goods including, jewellery, watches, handbags and other premium items
• Utilise advanced photography techniques to capture the intricate details, textures, and finishes of luxury products
• Set up, manage and maintain camera systems, lighting, backdrops, and other equipment to create the perfect environment for each shoot
• Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper file management and backup procedures
• Stay updated on the latest photography software developments and other technologies in the photography sector
• Manage your own studio and its immediate environment so it’s a tidy and functional workspace.
• Great and ongoing communication with the wider Wellcom team and our client
• Mentoring and training of freelance photographers

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product photography, with a strong focus on luxury goods
• Proficiency in using professional-grade medium format and DSLR cameras and related equipment
• Exceptional technical skills in studio lighting
• Expert knowledge of shoot production software particularly Capture One and Adobe Photoshop in a Mac environment
• An ability to execute photography to a specific set of lighting techniques, procedures and globally approved style guides to match our clients high standard of quality and productivity.
• Experience using digital asset management software
• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in luxury product photography
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• An ability to work with deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering flawless results
• A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality luxury product photography
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with wider teams and our client using Google suite and Office 365
• Fluent in Cantonese and English, conversational Mandarin
• Flexibility to work extra hours and weekends during peak periods.
