Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Jewellery)

Major Duties:
(a) To manage workshops / laboratories and prepare training materials;
(b) To install, operate and perform maintenance of the apparatus and equipment in workshops / laboratories;
(c) To provide technical support and assist in demonstration for teaching and learning activities;
(d) To assist in procurement and inventory control of relevant workshops / laboratories;
(e) To maintain the safety and tidiness of the workshops / laboratories; and
(f) To install and manage software and operating systems for PCs and servers.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised Diploma or Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering / Jewellery or equivalent;
(b) At least 2 years of relevant work experience in engineering / jewellery making;
(c) Good knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networks;
(d) Ability to acquire new skills to control different machines;
(e) Experience / knowledge in any of the following areas will be an advantage:
(i) 3D printing;
(ii) administer, operate and maintain PCs and network equipment;
(f) Mature, independent, dynamic, self-motivated and be a good team player; and
(g) Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
Notes:
(1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2) Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a trade test.
