We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Open Learning:

Research Assistant I/II (SOL) (Ref.: 25000I1)  

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Assisting in the organization and promotion of scholarly activities such as seminars and workshops;
  • Conducting literature reviews and studies on topics related to open and innovative education;
  • Assisting in the development of an archive of research in open and innovative education;
  • Providing assistance in a broad range of administrative duties, including preparation of project notes, meeting minutes and reports; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized degree in Education, Social Sciences or related areas (preference will be given to those who are familiar with research on higher education or educational technology);
  • Very good command of English and Chinese;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills; and
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
