Our client is an integrated E&M consultancy firm. Their portfolio covers commercial, office, and hospitality fitting-out work projects across Hong Kong, PRC and Asia. They are hiring an Associate / Principal Engineer to support their continuous project developments.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead the team in supervising projects, from design planning to handover activities 
• Manage and evaluate construction procedures, preparing solution statements, and monitoring and managing progress reports
• Coordinate and liaise with project teams, clients, architects, utilities, consultants, main contractors, and government authorities on all project matters related to building construction
• Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems and related works comply with project, legislative, and safety requirements.
• Lead tender preparation, including cost estimation
• Monitor and review the work of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Track project costs and schedules to ensure they meet client requirements
• Manage in-house cost and resource planning for projects
• Coach and mentor of the engineering team members to drive career growth and promote staff retention

Job requirements:

• Degree holder in Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least of 3 years in a supervisory role
• Chartered Engineer will be an added advantage
• Experience working with clients from both private and public sectors, such as hospital, railway properties or institutional projects
• Proven experience in project management
• Familiarity with local authority procedures, legislation, and requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, MS Office, and Microsoft Project
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively
• Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English
