Responsibilities :

• To assist senior in carrying out transmission cable jointing, sealing end assembly work, installation, operation & maintenance of transmission cable system accessories, and various alarms associated with the transmission cable system
• To assist transmission cable fitters in carrying out cable fluid treatment for transmission cables, conducting cable fluid feeding in conjunction with transmission cable jointing and O&M activities
• To assist engineers in conducting tests and works on the transmission cable systems
• To conduct cable patrol for underground cable damage prevention

Requirements :

• HKCEE or DSE with pass in both English and Chinese language;
• Completion of Craft Apprenticeship of Cable Jointer (Power) or equivalent;
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in power cable jointing work at 132-kV or above;
• Knowledge and basic skills in power cable jointing work at 132-kV or above
• Self-disciplined, self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills with others
• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese.  Able to understand simple English
• Willing to perform outdoor manual work
• Able to interpret assembly drawings, tools and equipment O&M manuals, etc.
• Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1, 2 and 18 is an advantage
