The Student Learning and Development team (SLD) within the MBA Programme Office is dedicated to cultivating MBA students into accomplished global business leaders who are well-equipped to thrive in the Asian Century.
Reporting to the Administrative Director and Assistant Director (Communications, Students and Stakeholders) of the MBA Programme Office (‘Office’), the appointee will focus on areas of student affairs within the Student Learning and Development Team (SLD).
The appointee will be responsible for (a) acting as the primary contact point and help desk for students to promptly address their inquiries; (b) offering pastoral care and campus life advice to students through a full range of communication, administrative, and logistical services; (c) providing guidance and support to MBA students regarding academic progress, course selection, programme requirements, campus life, and communications; (d) ensuring adherence to academic standards and policies in all aspects of the MBA programmes; (e) providing support to students for their classroom learning experience in credit-bearing courses, including assisting students in accessing campus and classroom resources and facilities, overseeing the learning portal, providing student financial services, and managing stationary supplies; (f) implementing and facilitating beyond-classroom learning experiences through the CUHK MBA LEAP Scheme, including global immersion initiatives, student development initiatives, outreach activities, and events; (g) maintaining complete and accurate student information and study records; (h) conducting student questionnaire surveys, preparing various directories, handbooks, and reports related to student affairs; (i) working closely with the Academic Affairs team to obtain review and approval decisions for academic-related issues, and offering support to enhance teaching effectiveness and student communication; and (j) undertaking other impromptu and administrative duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours, including weekends, and occasional business travelling will be required.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) minimum of 5 years of post-qualification executive experience; (iv) the ability to listen and communicate effectively, and to maintain positive rapport with a diverse group of high-performing students, and to support them in their learning journey; (v) excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; (vi) the ability to work independently with minimum supervision to deliver results while being an effective contributor as part of a close-knit team environment; (vii) an excellent command of written and verbal communication in English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and (viii) the willingness to work for daily operational and implementation tasks in the team.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
