About Us:
A leading main contractor specializing in civil engineering projects, including MTR developments. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards and are seeking a skilled Deputy Safety Manager to join their team.

The Role:

• Assist the Safety Manager in implementing and monitoring safety management systems across all civil projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, particularly for MTR projects.
• Provide guidance and support to site management teams on safety-related issues, including risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Participate in safety meetings, contribute to incident investigations, and ensure timely reporting and follow-up on safety issues.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Candidate:

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry, with specific experience in MTR projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant safety certifications - RSO is a MUST.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese is a MUST.
