Hall Manager (Ref. 250327007-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) take a leadership role in providing administrative support to the implementation of the University’s residential policy and residential life education programmes;
(b) take a leadership role in providing administrative support to the Non-Local Student Services Team;
(c) facilitate integration among local and non-local students;
(d) develop / conduct programmes for cultivating a community in the residential halls that values diversity and inclusion;
(e) provide training and support to tutors;
(f) assist the Section Head of Student Resources and Support Section in performing all administrative work and/or conducting programmes; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.
The appointee is required to work irregular hours and perform on-call duties if necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree, preferably at the postgraduate level;
(b) have at least five years’ work experience with relevant administrative and leadership skills in working with university-age students and/or young people;
(c) possess excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills; and
(d) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of a third language will be considered as an advantage for enhancing community interactions.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
