You’ll need to have:

  • Proven experience in a schedule manager role or equivalent, managing a multi- disciplinary team in a major infrastructure project(s) of similar scale of the role.
  • Managing, monitoring and coordinating key aspects of large scale, complex project/programme/portfolio(s) including, but not limited to, overseeing and leading design, development, establishment and implementation of integrated master schedules, schedule management systems and controls to monitor and report on schedule performance.
  • Managing the development of scheduling standards, policies and strategies supporting the client in making informed decisions to support the efficient and timely delivery of designs, procurement and capital works.
  • Managing the development, monitoring and maintenance of the integrated baseline master programme schedule including the identification of schedule risks, review of project milestones and development of corrective actions including critical path analysis, percentage of completion and earned value analysis.
  • Managing the development, implementation and monitoring of design, procurement and construction schedules for major complex infrastructure projects with the ability to interpret drawings and client requirements, understand the sequencing of construction and provide advice on schedule logic and buildability.
  • Managing and undertaking critical reviews and assurance of submitted programmes by multiple project stakeholders against actual progress on deliverables including reviewing schedule integrity, checking the correctness of schedule logic, confirming critical path, identifying variances and mitigation actions.
  • Managing and undertaking the preparation of overall project schedule progress reports such variance reports, progress and performance reports and ensuring that issues and bottlenecks are anticipated and resolved in a timely manner to prevent negative impacts on the project.
  • Managing and undertaking reviews and impact analysis of delays, contract variations, compensation events, claims and change events and providing opinions, advice and reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings.

You’ll also have:

  • Understanding and experience in administering NEC Engineering and construction contracts is considered an asset.
  • Significant experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on significant/landmark/mega construction projects.
  • Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust PMO and project controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
  • Experience of delivering a range of project services on major construction programmes or management consultancy.
  • Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent.
  • Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) e.g. Association of Project Managers.
  • Management successful programmes/P3O/P3M3 accreditation.
  • Engages with peers within professional bodies and other forum to maintain professional knowledge and work across industry to advance the profession.
